Biography
Dr. Steven Dubovsky is a professor and Chair of the Department of Psychiatry at the University of New York at Buffalo. He is engaged in research in mood disorders, cell biology, psychotic disorders, psychopharmacology, service delivery, and medical education. He has published over 200 research articles, books, and chapters in these areas. He teaches students, residents, fellows, and practitioners in psychiatry and other medical specialties. He consults frequently on patients with complicated psychiatric disorders and mixtures of medical and psychiatric illnesses. His ongoing practice focuses on psychiatrists and other physicians and refractory disorders.
Dr. Dubovsky is also an active firefighter with the Eggertsville Hose Company, a member of the Amherst Technical Rescue Team, and a reserve deputy with the Erie County Sheriff's Office.
