Biography
Dr. Lorena Rodríguez is a bilingual psychiatrist from Mexico City, Mexico. She specializes in the management of schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders and has collaborated on book chapters about the treatment of schizophrenia and its metabolic consequences.
She has been a medical editor with the Psychopharmacology Institute since 2020, responsible for editing and developing educational activities for mental health clinicians. She also continues with her clinical work, providing services and treatments to help individuals overcome psychiatric illness and improve their quality of life. She was previously an assistant professor in the Medical School of Universidad Panamericana in Mexico City, where she had studied medicine.
Dr. Rodríguez has a keen interest in clinical care and psychopharmacology. She is passionate about converting scientific and technical information into more practical, helpful content and data for clinicians to use in their daily practice. She was awarded first place in the Psychiatric Clinical Cases Competition held by the Mexican Psychiatric Association in 2014, and is a two-time recipient of the Impulse Research Grant awarded by the Carlos Slim Foundation.
