Helen Tellegen, P.M.H.N.P.

Biography

Helen Tellegen is a psychiatric nurse practitioner at San Antonio State Hospital, where she serves individuals with severe mental illness. Over the past nine years, she has worked in community mental health, consultation psychiatry at skilled nursing facilities, and student counseling centers. Helen has always enjoyed working with diverse patient populations that expose her to new challenges. She believes that the best clinicians are those who continuously seek knowledge to improve patient care.

Helen has been following the Psychopharmacology Institute since graduate school. She has found its unbiased, evidence-based content to be an invaluable resource in her practice. She has been fortunate enough to join the Psychopharmacology Institute team as an Expert Consultation Host, a role she considers a labor of love.
